We are absolutely thrilled to confirm that our recent Ofsted report found that Cherry Orchard Primary School has OUTSTANDING Behaviour and Attitudes and is GOOD in all of the other areas, (Leadership and Management, Quality of Education, Personal Development, Early Years provision) resulting in an overall effectiveness grade for the school of ‘GOOD’.

The entire team at Cherry Orchard is exceptionally proud of this outcome and we would like to thank our families for your support which undoubtedly contributes to the Cherry Orchard success story.

There are many highlights in the report and we are delighted that the inspectors could see that:

• ‘It is an exciting time to be part of the Cherry Orchard community.’
• Inspectors recognised that, ‘Leaders have successfully created a culture of high expectation and a shared determination to make sure that every pupil fulfils their potential.’
• We were delighted that they noted, ‘Pupils behave exceptionally well,’ and are ‘kind, empathetic and show a readiness to learn.’
• In Early Years, they noted that, ‘Children get off to a good start.’
• The work that we do to be inclusive was also recognised, ‘Pupils who require support with their behaviour receive effective help and feel cared for.’
• The school also ensures that pupils feel listened to, ‘Pupils feel that they are active leaders in their school and that holding positions of responsibility such as school councillors gives them a voice. They feel this is important.’
